New Delhi, Feb. 25 -- A Delhi court on Monday extended the interim protection granted to AAP Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan by a day in connection with an attack on a Delhi police team in Jamia Nagar on February 10.
Special Judge Jitendra Singh of Rouse Avenue Court will pronounce the order on the anticipatory bail plea moved by Khan on February 25.
The police had lodged an FIR against Khan for allegedly manhandling a police team of Crime Branch when they came to arrest a proclaimed offender, Shawez Khan, in an attempt-to-murder case in Jamia Nagar, southeast Delhi on February 10 and helping him escape from the spot.
The court had on February 13 granted interim protection to Khan from arrest.
