Kochi, April 23 -- A prominent businessman and his wife were allegedly killed at their house in Kottayam town in Kerala, police said on Tuesday, adding they have launched a manhunt for the accused.

According to police, the bodies of TK Vijayakumar (71), owner of the Indraprastham auditorium, and his wife Meera (67) were found soaked in blood in separate rooms of their house by domestic help Revamma, said police. "We have recovered the suspected murder weapon, a billhook, which was picked out by the accused from the outhouse. We have sent the sample for forensic analysis. We have launched a manhunt for the accused," Shahul Hameed, Kottayam district police chief said.
