Mohali, Jan. 24 -- A court in Mohali has granted bail to Komal Sharma, the sister-in-law of a ward No. 4 Chandigarh councillor, who was arrested for allegedly drawing salary from the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board (PWSSB) by submitting fake attendance records without attending duty.

Sohana police registered a case on January 10, 2026, under Sections 316(5), 318(4), 336(2), 336(3), 338 and 340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), following a complaint by the manager (Personnel and General Administration) of PWSSB, Sector 27, Chandigarh.
