India, Sept. 18 -- A police team was allegedly thrashed and confined by a group of locals - who protected a wanted criminal and helped him escape - in south Delhi's Fatehpur Beri on Monday. Police said the team was acting on the directions of a local court who issued a non-bailable warrant against a man in Chandan Hola area in Fatehpur Beri. However, they were waylaid and assaulted by the locals who also tore their uniforms and caused them injuries.
