India, Nov. 8 -- The Bombay High Court on Friday held that disputes between members of a co-operative housing society and developers over redevelopment of the society's property can be decided by the cooperative court, and not by civil courts, as the issues directly relate to the management or business of a cooperative housing society.

Justice Amit Borkar delivered the verdict while deciding a batch of petitions filed by members of a housing society in the city, challenging a 2019 cooperative appellate court order which limited the cooperative court's powers to hear their dispute with a developer.
