NEW DELHI, April 29 -- A 22-year-old cook at a hostel mess in Jamia Millia Islamia was arrested on Monday for allegedly molesting a 24-year-old student from Kashmir, police said. The accused has been identified as Mohammed Aabid, who hails from Haryana. According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday night when the victim was walking along the footpath outside Gate No. 8 of the university. "The accused reportedly accosted the woman and inappropriately touched her. She immediately reported the incident to the police, leading to his arrest after she gave her formal statement on Monday, " said a police officer.
