New Delhi, Feb. 27 -- The Congress on Wednesday welcomed the tabling of the Comptroller and Auditor General's (CAG) report on Delhi's excise policy in the Delhi Assembly but questioned why all 14 pending reports were not tabled. The party called for the immediate formation of the public accounts committee and an investigation into the issues highlighted in the report.

Delhi Congress chief Devendra Yadav raised concerns over the report allegedly overlooking the role of senior BJP leaders and the then lieutenant governor in the excise policy. "On whose orders did the three excise directors change when the liquor policy was formulated? The then LG had permitted the new excise policy," Yadav said.
