New Delhi, May 5 -- The Congress is planning a mega, pan-India campaign to highlights its "sustained and principled pressure" for a caste census after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government announced its decision to include caste enumeration in the decennial national Census. Adding to the clamour for credit after Centre's decision, Congress general secretary KC Venugopal on Saturday wrote to a host of leaders and party units urging them to "vocally and visibly" campaign about the demands of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the "leadership role" played by senior leader Rahul Gandhi in seeking the caste census, and "the BJP's record of caste denial and anti-Bahujan actions".
