Chandigarh, March 27 -- Senior Congress MLA Raghuvir Singh Kadian lambasted the state government for what he said was "a deteriorating law and order situation".
Raising the issue in the assembly during the Zero Hour, Kadian alleged that gangsters residing abroad were linked to a series of ransom calls targeting jewellers and financiers in his Beri assembly segment. He claimed that crimes were escalating, with people being killed in broad daylight, and urged that those responsible be brought to justice. Kadian said the gangsters involved in targeted killings should be repatriated.
