New Delhi, Feb. 15 -- The Congress on Friday initiated a major organisational rejig, with the party appointing former Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel and Rajya Sabha MP Syed Naseer Hussain as general secretaries, a statement issued by the party said.
While Baghel will handle Punjab, Hussain look after Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The party also dropped six general secretaries and party in-charges such as Rajiv Shukla, who handled Himachal Pradesh, and Dipak Babaria after the party's dismal performance in the Haryana assembly elections last year.
The party also appointed nine new in-charges, including BK Hariprasad (Haryana), Rajani Patil (Chandigarh), Harish Chaudhary (Madhya Pradesh), Girish Chodankar (Tamil Nadu and Puducherry...
