New Delhi, May 21 -- Chief Justice of India (CJI) Bhushan R Gavai said on Tuesday that his comments on protocol lapse during his visit to his home state of Maharashtra on Sunday were "blown out of proportion" as he requested the matter to be given a "quietus". Hours later, the Maharashtra government released revised protocol guidelines designating the CJI as a permanent state guest.
