PUNE, Nov. 7 -- Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday formed an inquiry committee to probe the allegations of irregularities in a Rs.300-crore Pune land deal involving a company linked to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar's son Parth Pawar. Ajit, however, has distanced himself from the case, saying he doesn't support any "wrong deeds". According to a government official, 40 acres of "Mahar Vatan land belonging to the government" in Pune's upmarket Mundhwa area was sold to Amadea Enterprises LLP - a private company in which Parth Pawar is a partner - for Rs.300 crore on May 20, 2025, while its market value is estimated at Rs.1,800 crore.
