PATNA, Nov. 28 -- Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Friday released yet another tranche of the Rs.10,000 seed money each to 10-lakh women under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, an initiative of the Bihar government to boost entrepreneurship among women.
With the release of the fifth instalment, the total number of beneficiaries under the scheme has reached 1.56-crore. This was the first release after the election results.
Kumar, who was recently voted back to power for a record fifth consecutive term, gave away Rs.10,000 to each beneficiary, through the DBT system, from his official residence, in the presence of cabinet colleagues and top officials.
