India, March 28 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on March 27 issued an alert for unseasonal rainfall, lightning and thunder activities in southern parts of Maharashtra between March 28 and March 31. The forecast suggested that the remaining areas of the state are likely to witness heatwave impact towards the end of March.

In Pune, the temperature is likely to continue to be above normal level till the end of March. On April 1 and 2, the city might experience cloudy weather conditions. The chances of rainfall activities are very less, said SD Sanap, senior meteorologist, IMD Pune.
