New Delhi, May 17 -- Leading by example, the top five judges of the Supreme Court (SC), led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Bhushan R Gavai will head the vacation benches in the first week of the "partial working days" beginning from May 26 when the summer recess of the top court will begin.
In a circular issued by the SC on Friday, the first week of the "partial working days" will see CJI and justices Surya Kant, Vikram Nath, JK Maheshwari and BV Nagarathna hold court by heading five separate benches. Justice Abhay S Oka, who is presently a judge, is due to retire on May 24.
The judges who will be sitting with the top five include justices AG Masih, Dipankar Datta, Sanjay Kumar, Aravind Kumar and Satish Chand Sharma.
