New Delhi, June 16 -- Across India, citizens are protesting the annihilation of forests, and the Delhi region is no exception. Individuals, non-profits and some sections of the media are all amplifying each others' asks : cherish the forests, don't see them as obstacles in real estate development. I write this week to pay tribute to someone who put up one of the greatest fights against deforestation that the Capital has seen. Physicist Vikram Soni, and his co-campaigner, professor and inventor Deshdeep Sehdev, are not names most green activists will readily recall.
