India, Dec. 11 -- The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Thursday took over the security of the NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation) Talaipalli Coal Mining Project in Chhattisgarh's Raigarh, marking the force's 362nd vital installation under its security cover.

The cover was assigned to CISF at the direction of the Union home ministry after a security review this year.

The force has sanctioned 265 armed commandos for the mine, of which 101 have already taken charge as part of the first-phase deployment.
