New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- Heartburn or acid reflux, commonly known as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), affects millions of people worldwide. While occasional acid reflux is harmless, chronic and long-term untreated GERD can significantly increase the risk of oesophageal cancer.
