India, Jan. 21 -- Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) successfully hosted the FIDE Global Conference on Chess in Society and Education from January 14-16, 2026, marking the first international chess conclave ever held in India. The three-day 'Chess Mahakumbh' brought together education leaders, policymakers, and chess legends from 40 countries to examine how chess is transforming lives globally.
