India, Sept. 11 -- Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was shot while attending an event at the Utah Valley University in Orem, on Wednesday. Kirk, a Donald Trump ally, succumbed to his injuries shortly after and the President announced his demise in a Truth Social post.

Amid the news of his death, several posts from an account allegedly linked to one 'Omar Najra Galvz', surfaced, stating 'something big' would happen when Kirk visited the university. Notably, UVU's local newspaper reported that there was a fair amount of backlash on campus about Kirk attending and speaking at an event there.

The 31-year-old, who met a violent end while delivering a speech, has been subjected to threats several times in the past.
