Chandigarh, March 28 -- Sandeep Sandhu of Chandigarh Golf Club pipped David D'Souza of Bangalore in the recently concluded final event of the year 2024-25 on the AVT Champions Senior Golf Tour to win Order of Merit for the year.

The final year-end tournament was played at The Jaypee Greens Golf Club, Greater Noida, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Before the start of the event, it was a close race for the Order of Merit title, with Sandeep leading by a single point.

On day one, Sandeep shot a 75 and David slipped with an average score of 79. Despite a cushion of four shots the title race was still open, as David, in the past, had been coming in with strong second rounds. As expected, David came up with a strong round of 73, but Sandeep didn't ...
