Chandigarh, May 3 -- The much-awaited emergency-cum-trauma centre at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, has missed yet another deadline, adding to the long list of delays plaguing the project since its inception in 2019.

The 283-bed facility was supposed to be ready by March 31 and operational by April as per a stern directive by UT administrator Gulab Chand Kataria in December 2024. But it's not expected to be unveiled before May-end.
