Chandigarh, June 26 -- With cloudy weather throughout the day on Wednesday and 2 mm rain recorded at the Sector 39 station, day temperature fell by five notches as per the India meteorological department (IMD). Chances of rain will continue in the coming days.

The maximum temperature fell from 34.1degC on Tuesday to 29.1degC on Wednesday, 7.2 degrees below normal. This is the lowest it has gone all month. The minimum temperature, meanwhile, fell slightly from 27.4degC on Tuesday to 27.2degC on Wednesday, 0.6 degrees above normal.
