New Delhi, Aug. 6 -- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has warned its affiliated schools that students found absent without valid leave records during surprise inspections, may be treated as non-attending or dummy candidates and will not be allowed to appear in the board examinations scheduled to be held 2026.
In a letter sent to the principal and head of schools affiliated to the board on Monday, CBSE exam controller Sanyam Bhardwaj directed them to inform students and parents about the mandatory 75% attendance requirement criteria and the potential consequences of not meeting this criteria.htc
