India, Dec. 26 -- The Central Bureau of Information (CBI) has moved the Supreme Court to challenge the Delhi High Court order suspending the sentence of Unnao rape case convict Kuldeep Singh Sengar.
The central agency has filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the apex court on Friday, December 16, against the Delhi High Court order which suspended the sentence and granted bail to Sengar in Unnao Rape case.
The fresh petition comes after the Delhi high court on Tuesday suspended the life sentence awarded to expelled Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the 2017 Unnao rape case.
