New Delhi/Panchkula, Nov. 7 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a first information report (FIR) against former Punjab director general of police (DGP) human rights), his wife and former Punjab minister Razia Sultana, in connection with the death of their son Aqil Akhtar (35) in Panchkula on October 16. Aqil's sister and his wife have also been booked in the case.

In pursuance of the notification issued by the department of personnel and training, an FIR has been registered by the CBI under Sections 103(1)(murder) and 61 (criminal conspiracy) of the BNS against Mohammad Mustafa, Razia Sultana, wife of the deceased and sister of the deceased, the CBI said in a statement.
