According to Canadian media reports, Carney may retain current ministers engaged in the tariff negotiations in his inaugural Cabinet. Among those likely to stay are Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc, Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly, and Industry Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne.
