India, July 29 -- Discomfort in your chest can include a dull ache, a crushing or burning feeling, a sharp stabbing pain and pain that radiates to the neck or shoulder. According to Dr Dinesh Raj, senior consultant cardiologist, HCG Hospitals, Rajkot, it is among the most commonly reported symptoms in emergency departments worldwide, yet it remains one of the most misunderstood problems.

In an interview with HT Lifestyle, the cardiologist said that in many cases, this sensation is attributed to acidity, gas, anxiety, or fatigue-common occurrences in a fast-paced, sleep-deprived, and often sedentary lifestyle. However, what may seem minor or routine could, in fact, be an early sign of something far more serious: a heart attack.
