India, Sept. 4 -- Senior India spinner Amit Mishra, who retired from all forms of cricket on Thursday, hinted at the selection bias prevalent in the national team during his career. The 42-year-old last played for the Indian team in 2017, in a T20I match against England in Bengaluru. Overall, he donned the Indian jersey 68 times across the three formats, picking 156 wickets.
Speaking to PTI after drawing curtains on his career, Mishra opened up on the frustration of constantly being in and out of the team and not getting a lengthy rope. He claimed that some players were the captain's favourites, but admitted he always focused on proving himself whenever given a chance.
