India, April 27 -- A Canadian national was arrested from a Bengaluru-bound IndiGo flight in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi for creating a panic among passengers by claiming that he was carrying a bomb, police said on Sunday.

The incident took place on Saturday night, and the Canadian has been detained by security personnel for further questioning. Police have not identified the individual.
