India, June 9 -- The Calcutta high court on Monday reserved its verdict on a plea against the West Bengal government's decision to extend financial assistance to the 2016-batch Group C and D non-teaching school staff whose appointments were cancelled by the Supreme Court in April in the bribe-for-job case.

The single bench of justice Amrita Sinha reserved its order after two rounds of hearing during the day, said senior lawyer Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, who appeared for the petitioners, job aspirants who did not get selected in the 2016 tests allegedly due to the irregularities.
