bus mows down 57-yr-old man in okhla phase-1
New Delhi, Oct. 4 -- A 57-year-old man was killed after his two-wheeler was hit by a government-run electric bus in south Delhi's Okhla Phase-1 on Friday afternoon, police said.
The victim, identified as Dashrath Singh Ojha, a resident of Uttam Nagar, worked as a security guard at ESIC Hospital. Police said the accident occurred around 2.50pm in front of the Tehkhand Bus Depot when Ojha was riding his motorcycle towards the ESIC red light. A bus coming from the Tehkhand side struck his vehicle, throwing him onto the road. "Ojha came under the rear tyre of the bus and died on the spot," a police officer said.
