MEERUT, Dec. 31 -- Bulandshahr Police have solved a daylight robbery in Anupshahr in which criminals allegedly posed as CBI officers and looted gold jewellery and cash worth over Rs.52 lakh from the residence of a building material trader. Police said the crime was allegedly planned and executed by notorious dacoit Inderpal alias Tau, who was earlier linked to a major daylight dacoity at a jewellery showroom in Bulandshahr in 2014-15.
Police termed the robbery an alleged "inside job" carried out with the help of a former employee of the trader. Five accused, including Inderpal alias Tau and the ex-worker, have been arrested.
