India, Feb. 2 -- Days ahead of his assault trial later this week, Marius Borg Hoiby, the son of Norway's crown princess, has been detained by the Norwegian police over fresh criminal allegations. The new allegations include suspicion of causing bodily harm and wielding a knife among others.

Marius Borg Hoiby, 29-year-old son of Norway Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson to Crown Prince Haakon, was detained on Sunday.

According to the police, Hoiby was apprehended on several allegations, including suspicion of causing bodily harm, wielding a knife and violating a restraining order, news agency Reuters reported.
