India, Jan. 12 -- India's richest civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), is set to go to the polls on January 15, along with several other municipal corporations across Maharashtra. For Mumbai's real estate developers, however, the spotlight is on January 16, when the results are announced. Experts say that the city's property market may see a surge in project launches following the civic polls, as developers have largely remained in a wait-and-watch mode pending the outcome.
