India, Jan. 19 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said 37 seats of nomination papers filed in favour of Nitin Nabin as BJP national president. All nomination papers were found valid.

BJP's Returning officer K Laxman said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the proposers of Nitin Nabin's candidature for BJP president. Nabin, an MLA from Patna, is expected to assume office following the formal process and announcement scheduled for Tuesday, January 20.
