India, Dec. 15 -- Union minister of state for finance Pankaj Chaudhary on Sunday was appointed as the president of BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit. Union minister Piyush Goyal, the in-charge for the BJP Uttar Pradesh chief polls, formally announced Chaudhary's election during an event in Lucknow, a day after the 61-year-old was the sole party leader to file his nomination papers for the post on Saturday.
