Shimla/New Delhi, March 24 -- Six disqualified Himachal Congress leaders and three Independent MLAs from the state joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday, weeks after they supported the BJP nominee in the Rajya Sabha polls, plunging the chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led government into a crisis.

Joining the BJP in the presence of Union minister Anurag Thakur and former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur, the former Congress leaders accused Sukhu of stalling the state's development.
