India, Aug. 13 -- Pune Police on Monday raided a makeshift gambling den operating out of an old tin shed near Ashtadwar Society in Dhankawadi area and rounded up seven persons, including general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party's Parvati assembly constituency unit, Audumbar Vitthal Kamble, a senior police officer said on Tuesday, adding that all of them were later let off with notices.

Following the police action, BJP city unit president, Dheeraj Ghate, said the party has expelled Kamble. "Kamble was recently appointed secretary of the Parvati unit.
