Bihar minister accused of encroachment: Officials
Darbhanga, Sept. 7 -- Bihar minister for backward classes and extremely backward classes welfare, Hari Sahni, along with 36 others, has been accused of encroaching 22 kathas (around 2,700 square metre) of government land in Bela Yakub area of Darbhanga district, officials said on Saturday.
The case pertains to a petition submitted by Jaiprakash Sahni at the Darbhanga district magistrate's Janata Darbar on February 1, alleging large-scale illegal occupation of government land. Based on the DM's directive, the sub-divisional public grievance redressal department ordered an inquiry, and an Amin's report confirmed encroachment by 37 people, including the minister.
