India, March 26 -- Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has doubled the prize money for the top 5 rank holders of the Intermediate or Class 12 final examination.

This year, rank 1 holders of the three streams will be awarded Rs.2 lakh instead of Rs.1 lakh, while 2nd and third rank holders will get Rs.1.5 lakh instead of Rs.75,000 and Rs.1 lakh instead of Rs.50,000, respectively.

Fourth and fifth-rank holders will receive Rs.30,000 each instead of Rs.15,000.

The board will also continue the award of laptops, certificates and medals to the toppers.

The board has also revised scholarship amounts for toppers under the Desh Ratna Dr Rajendra Prasad Merit Scholarship Scheme.
