India, Oct. 20 -- The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Monday released its list of candidates for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, fielding a total of 143 candidates, including party leader Tejashwi Yadav. The list of candidates was released on the last day for submitting nomination papers for the second and last phase of the elections.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is set to contest the elections from the Raghopur constituency. The party has given tickets to 24 women candidates for this election.

This announcement also confirms the seat-sharing plan within the Mahagathbandhan alliance. RJD will contest 143 seats, Congress will contest 61 and CPI ML will contest 20.
