India, Oct. 14 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday announced its first list of candidates for the Bihar assembly election 2025.

Incumbent deputy chief ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha will be fielded from the Tarapur and Lakhisarai assembly constituencies, respectively.

The first list has 71 names, and 30 more are yet to be announced.

The NDA alliance, of which the BJP is a part, recently announced its seat-sharing formula. The BJP and chief minister Nitish Kumar's JDU are contesting 101 seats each, with the rest going to other allies.
