India, Oct. 26 -- French police arrested two individuals in connection with the Louvre jewel heist on Saturday evening, and they are currently under questioning, Le Parisien reported Sunday, citing sources familiar with the investigation.

The arrests were made as part of an ongoing investigation into the theft, which has drawn international attention. French police have not yet released the identities of the suspects.

Both the suspects are currently being questioned. One suspect was apprehended at around 10 pm at Charles de Gaulle airport while attempting to leave the country. The second suspect was arrested later the same evening in the Seine-Saint-Denis suburb north of Paris.
