Washington DC, Sept. 3 -- Hours after the curtains fell at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, visuals of PM Narendra Modi alongside Russia's Vladimir Putin and China's Xi Jinping drew strong reactions from top US officials. Treasury secretary Scott Bessent dismissed the summit as "performative", but expressed confidence that India and the US will resolve trade friction between them.
