India, Aug. 2 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee is set to virtually address over 9,000 party leaders and functionaries on August 5, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a four-day organisational meet in Kolkata on Friday. Both parties are finalising their strategies before the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise starts in West Bengal, ahead of the 2026 assembly elections.

"Banerjee is likely to lay out a strategy for party leaders on crucial issues including SIR and harassment of Bengali migrant workers in BJP-ruled states.
