New Delhi, March 22 -- Voting for the Bar Association elections took place at the Delhi high court and six district courts on Friday. However, elections were called off midway at the Saket and Karkardooma courts midway due to alleged fake voting and mismanagement.

At the Saket court, voting began at around 10am and continued till noon, when it was called off due to alleged mismanagement, multiple lawyers told HT.

A lawyer, requesting anonymity, said, "The voting took place using ballot papers; there were four ballot boxes. However, there was a lack of coordination between the election officials which led a huge queues and subsequent ruckus...a few lawyers threw away the ballot boxes."

Of a total of 4,500 votes, only around 200 were cast....
