India, March 28 -- A massive 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar on Friday, causing an under-construction skyscraper in Bangkok to collapse. The quake was followed by a strong aftershock measuring 6.4, triggering widespread tremors across the region.
Videos circulating on social media captured scenes of lamp posts swaying violently and the moment the high-rise structure in Bangkok crumbled due to the impact of the quake. The tremors were felt in neighbouring countries, including Thailand, where alarms blared in buildings, prompting evacuations.
