India, April 7 -- Australian MMA coach Renato Subotic has opened up about his 24-hour ordeal in the United States, where he landed to attend a seminar - only to be thrown into a federal prison where he faced gang violence, intimidation, and was denied basic rights like a phone call. In an Instagram post shared yesterday, Subotic claimed that he was stripped of his belongings and thrown into a federal prison due to a missing detail in his visa.

He said that an innocent error - a detail missing in his visa application - led to him being treated like the "worst criminal."

"I believe in respecting the rules. But putting someone in federal prison over a missing detail in a visa application? That's crazy," he wrote.
