India, Aug. 22 -- Shreyas Iyer's omission from India's Asia Cup squad has not only shocked fans and former cricketers in India but also rocked the Australian media. Iyer, 30, was left out of the 15-member squad for the subcontinent glory that was announced on Tuesday by the chairman of the BCCI selection committee, Ajit Agarkar, a call that sent shockwaves through the Indian cricket fraternity. Shreyas' father, Santosh, wondered what more his son needed to do, while former India coach Abhishek Nayar indirectly accused Agarkar of favouritism.
